Franklin Children's Gardens

What a great place! The Franklin Children's Gardens is a themed garden based on characters from "Franklin the Turtle" stories. Lots for children to see and learn here.

Franklin Children's Garden

The garden is divided into seven sections for gardening, storytelling, exploring wildlife and visiting seven child-accessible sculptures from the Franklin the Turtle series. There is a Little Sprouts Garden, TD Storybook Place, Snail Trail, Hide and Seek Garden, Franklin's Pollination Station, Pine Grove and even a Turtle Pond! All kinds of interactive fun, that also happens to be educational.

There are many bronze statues of Franklin's friends, small benches in the garden and many plants and paths for kids to explore. There is even a turtle pond! Next to the turtle pond there are two tables with pictures of frogs and turtles painted on them and you can also find a large wooden (carved) owl nearby.

Kids can climb up a hill on a serpentine path: On top of the hill - the highest point on the whole Island! - there is a lookout point with binoculars that are low enough for children to reach and no coins are needed to use them. Children can also play in a wooden playhouse, in the kids garden or enjoy storytime at the Storybook Place amphitheatre.
