Will this be open during the long weekend ?

Re: Ferry capacity: Yes, each ferry has a maximum capacity. There is a person counting on the upper deck as people board the boat and they will stop boarding once capacity is reached. I'm not sure of the number but at times it feels the ferry is very crowded so the capacity must be quite high. I assume it's related to the number of life jackets and the crew's ability to crowd control in case of an emergency.

Hi - I remember riding the Toronto ferry to Center Island as a kid in the '60's and seeing an old decommissioned ferry parked by Ward's Island as we crossed. I looked up the history of the Bluebell but it was converted to a scow in 1957, so it wasn't the Bluebell. Would anyone there know about this old decommissioned ferry parked by Ward's Island in the '60's? Thanks S. Gotz

Is there a limit to the number of people allowed on the ferry from centre island to mainland?

Hello, I was wondering if there will be anything happing on the island for National Day of Truth and Reconciliation? Please let me know. Thank you.

Good Morning, My company is planning an event on Centre Island on Saturday, September 24th. We have scheduled a boat tour and catering on Centre Island, and only need Ferry Tickets for a return from Centre Island at the end of the day. Is there an option for a one-way ferry ticket for our guests? Or is the round-trip ticket the only option? Thank you in advance for your response. Kind Regards, Stacey Kemp

Hi: Want to rent a canoe or kayak. Is the boathouse still open? Looking to rent a canoe This coming Friday Sept. 9th. If it is not open after Labour Day during the week, how about weekends? What is the charge after the first hour? I read canoes are $30 for the first hour.

Hi, I just wanted to know if dogs are allowed in the canoes when rented from the "BoatHouse". Thanks

This is the worst Toronto Island ferry experience we have ever had. We are seniors with grandchildren. There are many families with babies. Waiting 9ver one and a half hours fir the Centre Island ferry is unacceptable. The Ward Island ferry already left twice for Ward's Island. We have been to the Centre Island many times. This will be our last. Horrible experience. All the people around us are saying the same. Shame on the organizers.

Hi there, we noticed that the prices of tickets for ferries to the islands have gone up quite a bit over the years and that while waiting, customers have to wait in the sun. Considering the amount charged, would it make sense to provide shade from the sun at the waiting area, at least? Thanks.

Yes, the boathouse is open daily as far as I know

We prepaid the tickets online, family of 4 all day ride pass, and still had do the whole line to get our wrist band passes. Nonsensical and inefficient. Do not pre pay for tickets.

Is the boat house open every day during the summer, or is it only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday

The ferry station is not suitable for people with disabilities. Very hard to find staff to help, although wen you find them they are willing to help.

Is a dog allowed on a canoe rented from the boathouse? Pretty common to take dogs on boats, but just want to be sure. My pup is just over 50 lbs and has his own life vest, and I'm happy to wipe down the inside or anything as needed. Thanks in advance!

The ferry is very dirty and spider webs are everywhere. The Center Island departure gate has mosquitoes on the ceiling and lots of spider webs. I have been to Center Island many times but this was the worst experience of them all.

it's a sunny day

Is there still a small boat tour available on Centre Island. Also is there a train tour that drives through Centre Island and Hanlan's Point?

Are there beach volleyball courts on Toronto Island?

Does anybody know if the tennis court on Hanlan’s Point is going to be reconstructed? The surface is awful, and often it is unsafe to play.

re: Disc freesbie. Yes you need to bring your own equipment and play as much as you like as long as you're not holding up people behind you (but there isn't normally a big crowd so not much to worry about)

Re: Centreville admission: there is no entry fee other than you have to buy tickets to get on the rides. There was a grounds admission in 2021 due to Covid capacity limits but not this year.

Yes, the boathouse will be open July 16 and 17t. You have to leave your drivers licence or other ID as a deposit.

can i bring my electric scooter to the island

Hello, I'd like to make sure that the Toronto island boathouse will be renting canoes the weekend of July 16/17. Could you also tell me the hours of operation, and if a security deposit is required? Thank you kindly, Anthony Boylan

Is it first come first serve for the BBQs at hanlan's?

Gate prices, does that mean for rides? It says no entry fee but buy tickets, so then what does Gate fees cover?

Do u have any live music on the island

Hi there just wondering if we should bring our own bike helmets for rentals?

Good morning, I saw that you have a Disc Golf Course on Toronto Island. If I want to play with my wife and my 2 children, do I have to bring a freezbee to use directly your course ? Can I play only 1 hour and stop if I wish ? Or I have to register, pay and use your discs ? Please let me know, I don't find the information for now...

Re: Centreville and ferry questions: Please direct any questions about Centreville or ferry tickets to Centreville directly and to the City of Toronto. This website is not affiliated with either and we won't answer questions about these services.

RE: Bike rentals. Bike rentals aren't all day on the island but you can rent bikes from the city (used to be bixi bikes). There is a rental station right by the ferry terminal on the city side. Rental is by the hour.

Hi team i am looking for a lost iphone in a clear/grey case. Please let me know if it gets turned in

Are there going to be fireworks for Canada visible from Wards island?

Hello is there an all-day bike rental fee on the islands? thank you

Hello. We have purchased tickets for centreville for today. I understand they’re not refundable. But can they be used on a different day. We have three small children so I cannot see us coming with the amount of rain we are to be getting today. Please advise.

Where is the spot on the island from which Toronto skyline photos are most often taken?

Hi I just wanted to mention one of your employee as she really was so kind and helpful to me on Sunday June 20, 2022 at first aids station. It honestly is rare these days and these gestures go a long way in making your day go better and restoring your faith in basic human kindness. She works at first aids station and her name is Navessa ( I hope I didnt spell her name wrong). Just thought I should let you know as it's important to acknowledge. Thank you.

Yes, there are water fountains near the washrooms on the Toronto Islands

Hi, is there water fountain on the island?

Is Centreville available to be booked for a private event? If so, who would I speak to for details?

Hello ... as a three decade neighbor and frequent visitor to the islands, I'm shocked to see that an invasion of cormorants just south of the island yacht club has been allowed to continue. The devastation and smell are already evident and it won't be long before the trees are dead as more and more cormorants arrive. Please do step up and save the trees. The damage these birds have done at Tommy Thomson is beyond belief. Don't let it happen to our cherished islands please.

Hey will the Toronto Center island be open Friday June 3rd 2022 please let me know. Thanks

You can tour the island in one day on foot but it'll be a long day if you want to take some time to check each attraction or just rest here and there. You can also rent bikes to make the trip quicker.

Hi there, first-time visitors to Toronto soon! How long would it take to tour the whole island(s) on foot and if we can't see everything in 1 visit what would be the must-see things to do? Thank you for your advice!

Could you please remove the "Student" ticket price (you can be a student at 40), it is confusing for people. It should say Youth and Seniors. Appreciate your updates. Colette

Yes, Centreville pricing has been updated to reflect pricing for 2022

As all COVID restrictions are removed now are you changing the pricing for Centreville?

The Boat House opens June 4 in 2022, Monday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (last boat rental at 6 p.m.)

Is the Boat house open for 2022 season yet?

Hello, Are there any chances to rent some place to stay on the island ?

Yes, Hanlan's point is accessible all year around - except in extreme icy conditions.

Sorry! The ferry schedule is now updated for spring 2022.

Hello! when does the ferry run for 2022? Website only has Fall schedule for 2021 posted.

Is Hanlan’s point accessible all year around?

I took the ferry to the island today, the lady selling the tickets was too busy talking on her cell phone, when I asked her some questions she was very rude and started raising her voice at me, she did it a couple of times to the point that I had to go to another booth. You shouldn't employ people with that kind of behaviour . I was very disappointed and frustrated. Another person working there saw what just happened and said that lady's behaviour is very common in her.

Hello! I am interested in going canoeing around the islands with a friend next week. I have paddling experience, and both of us can swim. Will the boathouse be open for operation next week, the last week of April? Additionally, does boathouse rentals include PFD and paddles?

Will the Islands be hosting a garden tour this year (2022)? If so, would you kindly let me know the date and cost please.

Hi there, do you know if the City of Toronto will be hosting camp at the Franklin Garden this summer 2022? Thanks
